Description

As its seemingly unending finish slowly fades on the palate

Lively bouquet of white peach

it is a profound Larigi

On the plus side there is both good freshness and verve to the delicious and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that offer fine persistence on the clean and dry if only moderately complex finish

so this wine is approachable young but still firm and concentrated enough to warrant cellaring for 5-7 years from the vintage

Torbreck, The Gask Brut Zero As its seemingly unending finishThe Gask is a relatively new wine made since 2005 from 100% Shiraz sourced from a single vineyard in the Eden Valley planted in 1960. The 2008 The Gask gives a very deep garnet purple color and intense warm berry, kirsch, creme de cassis and wilted roses aromas plus a whiff of prunes. Very full bodied with plenty of ripe, rich fruit it has a nice backbone of crisp acid and medium level fine grained tannins supporting it through the long finish.
